Working on In(her) Peace was all about making medicine for myself—songs, melodies, mantras and affirmations that could soothe me when I was low and give me light. Songs that bring me back to myself. Songs that fill me up when I feel woefully empty.

I’ve been silent for one important reason: I have been hard at work putting the finishing touches on my upcoming album (!!!).
I create medicine songs for myself. And I listen to them and sing them over and over until I can breathe again.
Dr Jaiya John, says that ‘prayer’ is a thought soaked in soul. That is what this is. And I’ve been singing this over and over again until I can see the other side.
